After a busy week or hectic schedule, there is sometimes nothing better than a pampering session!
For me, time out to myself to relax is really essential and something that I look forward to – just like many others that I know 🙂
It is usually after a really busy week, or weekend of partying that I find it most needed – to recharge my batteries and keep my stress levels to a minimum, in order to be fully functional again!
I’ve put together a list of all of my favourite pampering products that I like using to get me feeling my best again. Of course they’re accompanied by a large mug of hot chocolate and Netflix, for a truly relaxing evening!
I find this product to be very unique, and I really do like it! It’s part of The Body Shop’s ‘Drops of Youth’ range, which is a really luxurious range, designed to target early signs of ageing & to firm and tighten skin. Although I’m in my early 20s, I do use this range, as I really like the way it makes my skin feel and I want to keep my skin looking young and healthy. I apply this product after cleansing and toning my skin, as a treatment to leave on over night. It works as an intense moisturising treatment, that really does leave my skin feeling smooth and soft!
This is one of my favourite products to use! I am honestly so, so impressed with it and out of all the hair serums I’ve used, I have definitely seen the most results with this one. My hair is very broken and split at the ends and as a consequence, is extremely dry and brittle and is desperate for moisture! I apply a small amount of this serum to the ends of my hair when it’s still wet from washing it and then leave my hair to dry naturally to really allow the serum to soak in properly and work to full effect. It also has the nicest smelling, sweet honey scent to it.. Perfect product to use to pamper your hair!
I get really excited to try out new bath treats – they’re often one of my favourite ways to really unwind and relax! I was given these gorgeous Baylish & Harding goodies for Christmas and cannot wait to try them out! Some of my other favourite pampering bath products include: Strawberry Shower Gel from The Body Shop, with matching soap or Imperial Leather’s Fruit Salad Shower Cream!
I’ve always tried to be in the habit of using an all-over body scrub at least once a week, to remove all dead skin cells and make my skin look fresh and feel soft again! I usually incorporate this into an evening pamper session and have tried various body scrubs. One of my favourites has to be this TempleSpa one, which is honestly so luxurious! It isn’t quite as abrasive as a salt scrub, its granules are slightly smaller and it is more gentle on the skin. However, it still does a brilliant job of really exfoliating my skin and leaves the most incredible scent. Unsuprisingly, it smells just like a sensual spa and it is lovely!
Another The Body Shop favourite of mine, is this Peppermint Smoothing Foot Scrub. This is a particular essential to my beauty routine during the Summer months, but this product is still important during Winter as well! This is a very exfoliating, grainy scrub, but the mint ingredients do leave my feet feeling cool and refreshed. It’s great to help soften feet and is lovely to use in a foot soak and followed by nourishing foot cream!
I really, really love using body lotions & butters and I have about 20 of them in my beauty product stash! Admittedly, this is not the most moisurising lotion that I own – if my skin is really in need of nourishment, I’ll use a Body Butter, which usually keeps skin moisturised for around 24 hours, whereas most lotions are 12 hours. However, despite that, the smell of this lotion (and my favourite perfume) is just gorgeous and really lingers on the skin. So it’s included in my favourite pampering products, as the smell is just heavenly.
Admittedly, my nails aren’t always overly cared for.. I wear acrylics quite a lot and I paint them without a base coat and it has wrecked them a little! By genes, I also don’t have the healthiest nails – they’re short and break easily, so it’s even more important that I should take care of them. I started using this Leighton Denny Renovate nail repair cream, it was bought for me as a gift and it’s really lovely! I’ve read rave reviews online about how brilliant this cream really restores nails to looking their best!
I hope you have enjoyed reading this post! I’d love to know if you’ve used any of these products and what your thoughts are.. Or which products you like to pamper with!
