5 Essentials from The Body Shop..

The Body Shop has always been one of my favourite brands!

Their products are high quality and I love and admire the ethics and values behind the company – their empowering message ‘enrich not exploit’ and their strong stance against animal testing.

I vividly remember going into The Body Shop with my Mum when I was  about 11 years old, and she stocked up on her favourite Strawberry Body Butter.

10 years later, my Mum is still using that Strawberry Body Butter, and I have developed my own love for their products. One of my absolute favourites is their Camomile Cleansing Butter – read my full review of that here!

They have released so much new make-up, skincare & bodycare over the years, but in my opinion, some of their best were released right at the start – 40 years ago when they were first founded.

Here are 5 classic The Body Shop essentials that should never be forgotten and I could never live without:

  1. Vitamin E Night Cream

This was one of the first skincare products that I tried from The Body Shop, and now it is one of my favourite night creams.

The Vitamin E range is designed for normal to dry skin types, but focuses mostly on restoring the skin’s moisture levels and I always notice a difference in how soft my skin feels after using this!

2. Colour Crush Eyeshadow – in ‘105 Oh Honey’

This is undoubtedly my favourite eyeshadow, I use it more than any other shade and it so versatile!

It’s a very light, gold shimmer tone, so I mostly use it as the perfect day-to-day colour for work, with ‘Sidecar‘ from the Naked 1 palette, in my crease.

This eyeshadow also works really well to brighten and neutralise my eyelids, as a base colour, before then applying other shadows on top, when my eye make-up is more dramatic.

And lastly, this colour works really well in the corner of my eye, when I have a smokey eye, or occassionally, as a highlight on my brow bone.

I’ve never found a colour that works as well as this one!

3. Hemp Hand Protector

I can easily understand why this is The Body Shop’s best selling product!

In my opinion, it is the only hand cream that I have used that actually works and protects my skin from becoming dry again, whilst also leaving it feeling incredibly soft.

The smell is not pleasant. At all haha. But that will subside, and it is so effective, I’ve learnt to live with that!

4. Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder

Without a doubt, this is the most natural, buildable & just the best bronzer I’ve ever used haha!

I love the matte finish it gives and the fact that it does not cake at all, whilst leaving skin looking healthy and even.

I’ve converted quite a few of my friends to this bronzer and ever since I started using it, it has been an essential in my make-up bag!

5. Cocoa Butter Body Butter

Last but not least – the product that The Body Shop is known for – The Body Butter.

I have used countless body moisturisers, tried all types of smells & textures, but the one I will always come back to, is Cocoa Butter Body Butter!

Are there any products that you can’t be without from The Body Shop? Have you used any of the products on my list? I’d love to know!

Thank you for reading!
